Description: Built in 1930-1931, this Art Deco-style building was designed by Robert C. Reamer for William Fox to serve as the Fox Theater, a grand movie palace for the city of Spokane, and served as a movie theater until 2000. The building features a concrete exterior with ribbed panels, decorative Art Deco reliefs, a rooftop sign, marquees over the main entrances, a two-story front wing, a one-story wrap-around retail podium, and decorative sculptures above the large bays on the Lincoln Street facade. The building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2001. Today, the theater serves as a performing arts center, and is home to the Spokane Symphony Orchestra.
