Description: Glen Davis - New South Wales Premier Mair (right) with Sir George Francis Davis during a visit to the Glen Davis Oil Shale Works in early July 1940. They are riding on an electric locomotive (trolley pole) used to haul oil shale from the mine. The mine adit is in the background. This photograph was taken early in the life of the plant, before it became apparent that the plant would not live up to expectations.
