Description: Hope Park United Presbyterian Church on the corner of Hope Park Terrace and Causewayside in Newington, Edinburgh. The church was established in 1867 by a congregation from Potterrow. In 1900, the congregation joined the United Free Church and the Church of Scotland in 1929. In 1940, the congregation united with Grange Road Parish Church in Sciennes to form Hope Park and Newington South Parish Church, later known as Salisbury Parish Church. At the union, the Hope Park congregation vacated its building, which was demolished in 1949 and replaced by an extension of the Royal (Dick) School of Veterinary Medicine.
