Description: In the picture: A south-west look at the western wall in Idalion palace. In the west of Idalion palace, impressive gate and wall were revealed. The western gate consisted some rooms to assist the circulation near it, and a tower on each side of it. A built water channel starts from courtyard A, follows the main road of the palace and ends in the south of the gate, to help drain off rain water from the palace. The western gate consists at least four robust towers (two of which near the western gate), and its thickness was around seven meters.
