Description: The grand staircase provided an impressive view for visitors upon arrival to the Hills’ home, with stained glass windows by the A.B. Cutter Company of Boston on the landing. Above the staircase is the largest of the sixteen cut-glass chandeliers in the house. Female visitors at a party might have had an opportunity to make an entrance down the staircase, and four of the Hill daughters made their bridal entrance down these stairs on their way to the Drawing Room, where their weddings took place.
