Description: Grave of actor and comedian John Franklin Candy at Holy Cross Cemetery in Culver City, California (mausoleum, room 7, block 1). Candy was born October 31, 1950 in Newmarket, Ontario. He rose to fame as a member of the Toronto branch of The Second City and its related Second City Television series, and through his roles in comedy films such as Stripes; Splash; Planes, Trains and Automobiles; Cool Runnings; The Great Outdoors; Spaceballs; and Uncle Buck. He was inducted into Canada's Walk of Fame. He died of a heart attack on March 4, 1994 in Durango, Mexico at age 43.
