Description: This is a colorized photograph circa 1860 of Union General Joseph Warren Revere. Today, I have taken public domain image Gen. Joseph W. Revere - NARA - 526008.jpg and colorized it using Photoshop. I used pictures of Union generals in order to accurately portray the colors of the uniform and performed research on the medals to give an accurate portrayal of their colors. I attempted to restore the photograph by removing obvious scratches and coloring the skin and hair in ways that are logical. The color allows the viewer to more accurately see Joseph Warren Revere as an individual, especially his unique 3-pronged style of beard.
