Description: Plateau Lousi, Achaea (a karst depression 950-1050 m, polje), on all sides surrounded by mountains. On its north east border is the village Kato Lousi. Relatively frequent geological phenomenon in the karst basins of the northeast Peloponnese, Greece. The plateau has no natural surface water outlet. Precipitation must be drained by ditches. When precipitation of winters is exceptionally rich, some agricultural fields may become wet. Depending on the capacity of the ditches and the geologically old ponors some fields may even be flooded.
