Description: This image shows results from a series of three experiments on massed versus distributed reading reported by Krug, Davis and Glover (1990). The red bars show the mean idea units recalled by groups who read a passage twice with no intervening interval. The blue bars show the mean idea units recalled by groups who read the same passages with a one-week interval intervening between the two readings. All groups received a free recall test immediately after the second reading. Error bars are used to represent the 95% confidence interval. Krug, D., Davis, T. B., Glover, J. A. (1990). Massed versus distributed repeated reading: A case of forgetting helping recall? Journal of Educational Psychology, 82, 366-371.
