Description: Lee de Forest at Beckman Instruments in Munich, Germany Lee de Forest (1873–1961) was an inventor, most notably of Audion vacuum tubes in the early twentieth century. His serial business ventures included work in radio, telegraphy, telephony, broadcasting, and film. Arnold O. Beckman fêted Lee de Forest at the new Munich facility of Beckman Instruments. Published without a copyright notice in the Beckman Division Feedback newsletter, No. 5, May 1955 (BHC box 10, folder 1). Digitized for the Beckman Legacy Project.
