Description: Liao dynasty silver coin with Khitan large script characters. Found 2 li west of the Imperial City at the Liao Shangjing site in 1977. Four Khitan Large Script characters (reading top, right, left bottom) interpreted as meaning "天朝萬順" (Heavenly Dynasty — Myriad [affairs are] Favourable). Additional Khitan large script characters are also scratched onto the back of the coin.
