Description: Southbound freight on the Leen Valley line at Linby, passing under the Great Central main line. View NE, towards Kirkby-in-Ashfield, Shirebrook (on the ex-Great Northern Leen Valley line, closed finally in 1968) and Annesley, Chesterfield and Sheffield (Victoria) on the ex-Great Central main line (closed 5/9/66). This was a train-watcher's paradise, because the ex-Midland Nottingham - Mansfield line ran parallel here - off view to the right. Note the end of an Up Express on the GC line on the bridge. The locomotive is LNER B1 4-6-0 No. 61056.
