Description: Antibiotic sensitivity test for an isolate of Moraxella catarrhalis. This strain shows resistance to the antibiotic ampicillin because it produces the enzyme beta-lactamase. This has been confirmed by the red colour produced by this enzyme on the paper disc labelled ß.
