Description: Exterior view of Maclay College of Theology after 1880, founded by Charles Maclay, founder of San Fernando and a Methodist minister. Historical Notes: He was also a Senator. One of San Fernando's original subdividers, he endowed the college with $150,000 in money and land. It was then an adjunct of the University of Southern California and later merged with it. It was sold in 1902 to a church. Eventually became the Claremont School of Theology.
