Description: The mud volcanoes of Azerbaijan are one of the strangest things I have seen. The oil under the surface reacts with the soil and reaches the surface in the form of cold grey bubbling mud that ends up forming a small volcano. The mud is safe to touch as it is cold and meant to be good for the skin. However, when the pressure builds up, those volcanoes can erupt, sometimes quite violently.
