Description: Preparatory plaster sculpture of Nero and Seneca. Awarded a first-prize medal at the National Fine Arts exhibition in Madrid in 1904. Barrón never produced a final version of it, in bronze or marble. It was exhibited in Cordoba Town Hall for many years before being returned to the Museo del Prado for restoration. (A modern bronze copy is now at the Glorieta Llanos del Pretorio in Cordoba.)
