Description: Penicillin Past, Present and Future- the Development and Production of Penicillin, England, 1944 Dr Ernest Chain undertakes an experiment in his office at the School of Pathology at Oxford University. Dr Chain originally came from Germany, but became a naturalised British subject in 1933. With his colleague, Professor Florey, and their team, he was instrumental in the isolation of penicillin.
