Description: The Pfeifer Shale Sugar Sand; the chunkier, fine-granular calcite crystal "sand", bordered below by very thin bentonite, above also by very thin bentonite top, then a little thin shale, then a 2" chalky limestone reference/marker bed. A similar configuration is found in the lower Fairport above, but without the distinctive calcite granules.
