But, prolific angling water as this stretch of the Erne un-doubtedly is, it is no happy hunting ground for the duffer. Sportthere is, galore ; but it has to be worked for, and the job is noeasy one. And this especially applies to the capture of big trout ;there are no silly ones among them, and they have seen someflies in their time ! But when hooked in this strong-flowing riverthey provide most exciting sport. The centres to fish from areBelleek and Ballvshannon. At the former there is a capital hotel(Johnstones) and there is also accommodation at the Royal Hotel,Ballyshannon (Mr. Hendersons). .Applications for rods must bemade to John Swan, River Erne Fishery Ofiice, Ballyshannon.
