Description: Quartz (Var.: Rose Quartz) Locality: Pitorra claim, Laranjeiras, Galiléia, Doce valley, Minas Gerais, Southeast Region, Brazil (Locality at mindat.org) Size: 4.5 x 4.0 x 3.5 cm. Rose quartz is the most rare and desirable of the quartzes, and this is just a fine example. First of all, the crystals have formed a thin, translucent fan. More than this, they have wrapped themselves around a bizarre, transparent, flat tabular compound crystal of quartz.
