Description: The room at the Remount Ranch in Wyoming where author Mary O'Hara wrote "My Friend Flicka" features this adobe-styled fireplace. A hand-painted image of Chief Goodshield is depicted on the fireplace. This room was made into a "bar room" around 1946, according to a 1992 brochure used to market the ranch for sale by then owners John & Mary Ostlund. The sale included the 6,000 sq ft stone main house and 1,766 acres. The ranch is located in the foothills on the east slope of the Laramie Mountains.
