Description: Richmond Mine in Eureka, Nevada — with northerly view of the Diamond Valley and west flank of the Diamond Mountains. Lead and silver ore were discovered at Eureka in 1864. The two major producers were the Richmond Consolidated Mining Company and the Eureka Consolidated Mining Company. They peaked during 1879-1883, with most mines closed by 1891.
