Description: South view of the historic Helen P. Gay Rocky Mount (Amtrak station) in Rocky Mount, North Carolina canopies along the platform as taken from the corner of Nothwest Main Street and Hammond Street. Originally a Wilmington and Weldon Railroad then acquired by the Atlantic Coast Line Railroad, and restored for Amtrak. This shows three of the four stories of the station house and the two canopies along the platform, one of which leads directly to the station. This is a better shot of the canopies than the one I took of File:Rocky Mount Amtrak; Northwest View.JPG, but it doesn't show all four floors.
