Change-of-command ceremonies are held to honor outgoing commanding officers as they turnover duties to oncoming commanding officers. Currently in port, Chancellorsville demonstrates power projection and sea control as a forward-deployed Ticonderoga-class destroyer, operating from Yokosuka, Japan.
