Description: "The South-Sea House in Bishops-gate Street", engraving by Thomas Bowles, published 1754. Inscribed "Bowles sculp." and "Publish’d according to Act of Parliament, for Stowe’s Survey, 1754". The topmost lead brackets on the down-pipes from the hopper heads are inscribed "1725", presumably the date of the building. The hopper heads display the Company's arms.
