Description: Front view of the gracious residence Rakeevan, in Graceville, taken from the north side, ca. 1931. In 1895, John Ferguson MLA, a Rockhampton parliamentarian and a major shareholder in the Mt Morgan Mine company, purchased the property, which became the home of his daughter and son-in-law, Mr A H Chambers, who was the manager of the Union Bank and changed the name of the house to Rakeevan, after his family home in Ireland.
