The bank purchased Mon Repos' Juice Mill in October 1899 and renamed it “Qunaba”, using the first two letters of each word of its own name (Queensland National Bank). Qunaba Mill reached its peak production in the early 1980s, when the crop exceeded 300,000 tonnes.
