Description: This photograph was taken by me at at Lakshminarayana temple in Hosaholalu, Mandya district, Karnataka state, India. The temple was built in 1250 A.D. during the reign of Hoysala Empire King Vira Someshwara. It is considered one of the ornate examples of Hoysala architecture. The shrine and the tower over it follow a stellate design style characteristic of the Hoysala architecture.
