Description: Medium tanks, immediately after being put ashore at Cherbourg in France, are serviced by Ordnance crew and dispatched to the front. T/5 James M. Austin, Dickson, Tex., is a member of one of these crews. Sgt Cullie Bolton, Palm Sprince, Calif., ordnance crew chief, inspects an M-4 tank that has just arrived from the States, servicing them so that they can move on their own power to the railroad which will take them to the front. It is part of a priority order that will be sped to the front from this French port.
