Description: Close-up photo of the Palms Depot train station sign displaying "THE PALMS" in addition to "ELEVATION 144 FEET" and "TO LOS ANGELES 13 6/10 M." Sign is attached to the original Palms Depot, which was built circa 1875 in Palms (West Los Angeles) for the Los Angeles and Independence Railroad, and was absorbed into the Pacific Electric Railway in 1911. The Eastlake style of Victorian Queen Anne architecture train station is a Los Angeles Historic-Cultural Monument. Now located at the open air Heritage Square Museum (with 7 other historic buildings), in the Arroyo Seco (3800 Homer Street), Los Angeles.
