Description: Title: The Spanish insult to the British flag at Nootka Sound. Argonaut was a mercantile vessel that Colnett purchased in the Far East in 1789-1790. He then sailed her to the Pacific Northwest, which is where the incident occurred. The Spanish seized and then released her, and Colnett sailed her back to London c.1791, where he sold her. Not to be found in Lloyd's Register between 1790 to 1794. Physical description: 1 print.
