Description: This image shows Sunter Street running in a north-easterly direction and crossing Swale Street. David Bell's Manchester & Glasgow House is on the north-western corner of the intersection with Swale Street. Bell also owned the Boot Shop on the north-east corner. Bell was a local businessmen and Mayor of Strathalbyn from 1887 to 1889. The photograph was published in the 'Critic' in 1906. It was not taken in the 1920s as originally cliamed. Title and date amended to reflect this information.
