Description: Looking east at the traffic circle and plaza on the north end of Columbia Island in the Potomac River in Washington, D.C., in the United States. Columbia Island is part of the District of Columbia. In the lower foreground is the Boundary Channel Bridge, with the two memorial pylons. The George Washington Memorial Parkway flows across and along the island, using the traffic circle as an interchange to Arlington Memorial Bridge and Arlington National Cemetary. Stretching into the distance is the Arlington Memorial Bridge, finished in 1932. The Lincoln Memorial, Watergate Steps, and Washington, D.C., can be seen on the far shore.
