Description: Sketch showing the typical scarification of the Abdallabs, a Sudanese tribe founded shortly before the desctruction of the kingdom of Alodia (c 1500). After the rise of the Funj Sultanate the Abdallabs ruled the western Gezira as petty kings (Meks) until the Turko-Egyptian invasion of 1820-1821. Thanks to User:Boreas Novus for helping me out.
