Description: Harry Burton: Tutankhamun tomb photographs: a photographic record in 5 albums containing 490 original photographic prints ; representing the excavations of the tomb of Tutankhamun and its contents. Vol. 2 In this sequence of photographs the objects in the tomb are still in situ, albeit with the addition of cards bearing reference numbers. These photographs must have been taken between 18 December 1922, when the conservation and clearance work began, and 27 December, when the excavators began removing objects from the tomb.
