Description: Two Havasupai Indian women with "Kathaks" on their backs, ca.1900 Photograph of two Havasupai Indian women with "Kathaks", or large conical baskets, on their backs, ca.1900. The baskets are held in place by a sling around the wearer's foread. The baskets are used for such things as carrying corn in from the field. At their feet on the ground lays a blanket with a zig-zag pattern. Behind them at left is part of a stick lean-to with a blanket or pelt on top. Several baskets lay on the ground near the structure.
