Description: The U.S. Naval Torpedo Station in Alexandria, Virginia, which manufactured Mark III torpedoes in the 1920s and Mark XIV torpedoes during World War II. The building now houses the Torpedo Factory Art Center located at 105 Union Street on the Potomac River waterfront. The Center includes 82 working artists' studios, six galleries (art, photography, crafts, ceramics), two workshops, the Art League School, Discover Graphics Atelier Inc., and the Alexandria Archaeology Museum.
