Description: In 1721 enroute from Amsterdam in his ship the Eagle, Commodore Roggewein recorded sighting a pirate vessel flying "a black flag, with a Death's head in the centre, a powder horn over it and two bones underneath". Although this ship's master was never identified it is most likely that the Captain was a member of the notorious Flying Gang of New Providence.
