Description: The 1915 steam-powered schooner Wapama is the last surviving example of this class of wooden ships used in Pacific Coast lumber trade in the 19th and 20th Centuries. The ship, which was designated a National Historic Landmark in 1984, is decaying in the Richmond, California Shipyard.
