The Indonesian two hundred rupiah coin (Rp200) is a coin from Indonesia. It's worth 200 rupiah. This coin first came out in 2003. It got a new look on December 19, 2016.

The First Rp200 Coin (2003)
The Rp200 coin was first released on November 3, 2003. It weighs about 2.38 grams and is 25 millimeters wide. That's about the size of a quarter!
On the front of this coin, you can see the national emblem of Indonesia, called Garuda Pancasila. This is a special symbol for the country. You'll also see the year "2003" and the words "BANK INDONESIA."
The back of the coin shows a picture of the Bali mynah. This is a beautiful bird with white feathers and blue skin around its eyes. Below the bird, it says "JALAK BALI" (which means BALI MYNAH) and "200 RUPIAH."
The Updated Rp200 Coin (2016)
The Rp200 coin got a fresh new design on December 19, 2016. This is the version you might see today. These newer coins also weigh 2.38 grams and are 25 millimeters wide.
The front of the updated coin features Dr. Tjiptomangunkusumo. He was an important national hero in Indonesia. You can also still see the national emblem Garuda Pancasila. The words "REPUBLIK INDONESIA" and "Dr. TJIPTOMANGUNKUSUMO" are also on this side.
On the back of the 2016 coin, you'll find the words "BANK INDONESIA," "200 RUPIAH," and the year "2016."
Special Commemorative Coin (1970)
Besides the coins used every day, the Bank of Indonesia also made a special Rp200 coin in 1970. This one was made of silver and was not meant for regular use. It was a collector's item!
This silver coin weighs 8 grams and is 26 millimeters wide. The front shows the national emblem Garuda Pancasila. It also has the years "1945-1970," "1970," and "200 RUPIAH," along with the Bank's logo.
The back of this special coin features the greater bird-of-paradise. This is a stunning bird known for its colorful feathers. The coin also says "25 TAHUN KEMERDEKAAN" (which means 25 YEARS OF INDEPENDENCE) and "REPUBLIK INDONESIA." This coin celebrated 25 years since Indonesia became independent.
