Eurovision Song Contest
In 1996, Ivo Linna represented Estonia in the Eurovision Song Contest. He sang with Maarja Liis Ilus in Oslo, Norway. Their song was called "Kaelakee Hääl", which means "The Sound of a Necklace". They did very well, finishing in 5th place out of all the countries.
Eesti Laul Competitions
Ivo Linna also competed in Eesti Laul, which is Estonia's national contest to choose their Eurovision song.
- In 2017, he entered with the song "Suur Loterii" (Big Lottery). His song won its semi-final round. In the final, it placed fifth out of ten songs.
- In 2021, Ivo Linna teamed up with his son, Robert Linna. They sang "Ma Olen Siin" (I'm Here) with the band Supernova. Their song finished eleventh in the final round.

Ivo Linna was married to Reet Linna. He is also the father of another singer, Robert Linna.
In 2000, the President of Estonia gave Ivo Linna a special award. It was called the IV Class Order of the White Star. This award recognizes people who have done great things for Estonia.
