Early Life and Education
Ivory Thigpen was born in Jackson, Mississippi. He grew up and went to school there. He studied at Jackson State University. Later, he also earned degrees from Palmer College of Chiropractic and Morehouse School of Religion.
His Work and Community Role

Serving in the South Carolina House of Representatives
Ivory Thigpen was a representative in the South Carolina House of Representatives. He served the 79th District from 2016 to 2024. In this role, he helped make laws for the state of South Carolina.
