Júlio César Rocha Costa (born on May 12, 1980), known simply as Júlio César, is a Brazilian football player. He plays as a Defensive midfielder. As of 2025, he plays for Ferroviária.

Júlio César's Football Journey
Júlio César started his professional football career in Brazil. He signed a three-year contract with Osasco in January 2004. Later that year, in December, he moved to Portuguesa Santista on a loan deal. This loan lasted until the end of the 2005 Campeonato Paulista season.
Playing for São Caetano
In April 2005, Júlio César was transferred to São Caetano. He signed a three-year contract with this club. This was an important step in his career, playing for a well-known team.
Moves in 2007 and 2008
In 2007, Júlio César joined Juventude. He played 18 games for them. The next year, in January 2008, he moved to Caxias, another club in the Rio Grande do Sul state. He signed a one-year contract there. Later in September 2008, he had a short-term deal with Gama.
Later Career and Loans
Júlio César continued to play for various clubs. In January 2009, he joined Mogi Mirim until the end of the 2009 Campeonato Paulista season. He returned to Caxias in April 2009.
In August 2009, he signed a one-year deal with Noroeste. He extended his contract with Noroeste in May 2010 and was loaned to Criciúma, where he played one game. After his contract with Noroeste ended, he joined Marília in 2011, playing six games. In September 2011, he moved to Icasa on a short-term deal, playing six matches there. Since 2012, Júlio César has been playing for Ferroviária.
Time in Japan
Early in his career, Júlio César also played in Japan. In 1999, he was part of Verdy Kawasaki (now Tokyo Verdy). During his time there, he played 5 league games. He also participated in the Emperor's Cup and the J.League Cup.
