Jacqueline Wright is a talented English director who creates films, TV shows, and music videos. She is known for her creative and often funny short films.
Early Career and Short Films
Jacqueline Wright has directed several short films that have gained attention. One of her films, David the Great, was a funny tribute to the famous magician David Blaine. Another short film, Out of Water, received funding from the UK Film Council, which helps support filmmaking in the United Kingdom.
Jacqueline often works with writer and actress Alice Lowe. They have made many short films together. In 2005, Jacqueline was an Associate Director for Alice Lowe's stage show MoonJourney. This show was a funny rock-opera that made fun of the singer Kate Bush. In 2010, Jacqueline and Alice started their own company called Jackal Films. They challenged themselves to make a new short film every month that year!
Jacqueline has also directed music videos. She made the award-winning video for The Shakes' song Liberty Jones. This video won an award at the Raindance/Tiscali festival.
