Jake Clemons, born on February 27, 1980, is an American musician, singer, and songwriter. He is most famous as the saxophonist for Bruce Springsteen's legendary E Street Band. Jake joined the band in 2012. He took over from his uncle, Clarence Clemons, who was the band's original saxophonist.
Jake plays many instruments for the E Street Band. These include the saxophone, percussion, and backing vocals. He has performed on major tours like the Wrecking Ball World Tour, High Hopes Tour, and The River Tour 2016. Before joining the band, Jake studied jazz performance. He attended the Virginia Governor's School for the Arts. Jake has also played with other famous artists. These include Eddie Vedder, Roger Waters, The Swell Season, and The Roots.
Jake also creates his own music. He released a solo album called Fear & Love in January 2017.
