Jake Smollett is an American actor and a fun cooking personality. He was born on July 29, 1989.
Early Life and Acting Beginnings
Jake Smollett was born in New York City. He grew up in a family where many people were actors. His dad's family came from Russia and Poland, and his mom is African-American.
He started acting when he was very young, even as a baby! His first role in a TV show was in Hangin' with Mr. Cooper. After that, he acted with his five brothers and sisters in the ABC sitcom, On Our Own.
Jake also acted with his sister Jurnee Smollett in the movie Eve's Bayou. In this film, they played the children of actor Samuel L. Jackson. Later, Jake was in the ABC Family show The Middleman. He played a character named Noser. The whole cast of The Middleman even went to Comic-Con in July 2009.
Cooking and TV Shows
In 2016, Jake joined his five siblings on Food Network. His brothers Jojo, Jussie Smollett, and Jocqui, and his sisters Jazz and Jurnee Smollett, cooked family meals together. Their show was called Smollett Eats.
Jake also appeared as a guest judge on the Food Network show Chopped Junior. In 2017, Jake joined Rachael Ray on The Rachael Ray Show. He was on the show all season long, sharing cooking tips and recipes.
