They were all activists who wanted more rights for women.

The society worked to support local businesses and teach adult women how to read and write. They also cared for orphaned girls and planned to build hospitals for women who were poor. They even wanted to create co-ops to help local industries grow. If there was a war, they aimed to support the country's defenders. This group also made a big effort to connect with women in other countries nearby.

The Society of Patriotic Women held talks and organized campaigns to spread their ideas. They also published their own important magazine called Nosvan Vatankhah, which means 'Patriotic Women'. This magazine started in 1922.
