Jandía is a special piece of land on the island of Fuerteventura. It's like a long arm of land reaching out into the ocean. Fuerteventura is one of the Canary Islands, which are part of Spain.

Jandía is located in the southwest part of Fuerteventura. The whole peninsula belongs to the town of Pájara. This area is home to Fuerteventura's highest mountain, called Pico de Jandía or Pico de la Zarza. It stands tall at 807 meters (about 2,648 feet).

Jandía is connected to the rest of Fuerteventura by a narrow strip of land. This strip is called an isthmus, and its name is Istmo de la Pared. Since 1987, most of Jandía has been a protected area. It is a nature reserve called Parque Natural de Jandía. This means its plants and animals are kept safe.

Along the south and east coasts of Jandía, you'll find popular beach towns. These include Jandía Playa and Morro Jable. The western coast has some of the most beautiful and sandy beaches on Fuerteventura. These beaches are also a favorite spot for surfers. On the north side of the peninsula, there's a small fishing village called Cofete. You can also find the historic Villa Winter there.
