Jane Long was a talented English actress who lived in the 1600s. She became famous after theaters reopened in England during a time called the English Restoration. She joined a group of actors known as the Duke's Company. Jane was especially good at making people laugh, becoming a well-known comedienne. This was when a fun style of plays called Restoration comedy was very popular.
