Janeen Brian is a talented writer from South Australia. She writes many books for children. Before becoming a full-time writer in 1990, she was a primary school teacher. By September 2016, she had published her 100th book! That's a lot of stories.
One of Janeen Brian's books for middle schoolers, Yong: The Journey of an Unworthy Son, was even turned into a play. A theater company called Monkey Baa Theatre Company performed it. They showed the play in different parts of Victoria and at the famous Sydney Opera House.
